Shillong, April 15: A Pre-event press conference for the upcoming G20 meet on 17th April, 2023 in Shillong was held today at the Main Secretariat Conference Hall, Shillong. Principal Secretary, Planning Department, Dr Shakil P Ahammed, Commissioner and Secretary, Planning Department, Dr Joram Beda and Director, ISRO Dr Sudheer Kumar briefed the media on the upcoming programme for the G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting (SELM) Precursor Meeting.
Besides the technical programme, the G20 SELM precursor meeting will also have an exhibition showcasing India’s space activities and also an exhibition showcasing the rich heritage of Meghalaya which will be organised at the venue. The programme for the G20 SELM precursor meeting including the inaugural programme will be held on April 17th, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Courtyard by Marriot, Shillong.
The inaugural function will include address by Mr Somanath S, Secretary, Department of Space (DOS) Chairman ISRO, Dr Pawan Kumar Goenka, Chairman IN-SPACe, Mr Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa, Mr Pankaj Chaudhury, Minister of State (Finance), Ministry of Finance, Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State, PMO and Mr Conrad K Sangma, Chief Minister, Meghalaya.
