Ampati, May 27: The Office of the District School Education Officer, South West Garo Hills, organized the District Level Science, Mathematics, and Environment Exhibition for children on Monday at Springfield Higher Secondary School, South West Garo Hills, Ampati.
The event saw participation from around 10 schools across the district, centered around the theme, “Science and Technology for Society”. The exhibition was honored by the presence of K R Marak, Retired Vice Principal of Ampati Government Higher Secondary School, who served as the Chief Guest.
Other notable guests included T Ch. Marak, incharge DSEO, South West Garo Hills, A A Sangma, Principal of Springfield Higher Secondary School, and S N Sangma, Block Mission Coordinator of Betasing Block, South West Garo Hills.
In his address, Chief Guest K R Marak encouraged students not to fear subjects like Mathematics and Science, emphasizing their importance and relevance in today’s world.
The competition culminated with St. Claret Higher Secondary School winning first place, thereby earning the opportunity to represent the South West Garo Hills District at the State Level Science, Mathematics, and Environment exhibition.
Hari Shanti Niketan Vidyalaya Secondary School secured the position of first runners-up, while Good Shepherd Secondary School took the second runners-up position.
