Shillong, May 29: The Meghalaya State Olympic Association today accorded a warm welcome to Dr. P. T. Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association, on her first arrival to Shillong.
The Executive Assistant to the President of the Indian Olympic Association, Capt. Ajay Narang also accompanied the President on her visit to Shillong this visit is significant as the state to host the 39th National Games Meghalaya 2027.
The MSOA leadership expressed its gratitude to Dr. P. T. Usha for her continued encouragement and guidance towards strengthening the Olympic movement and sports ecosystem in Meghalaya and the North East region.
The interaction also focused on the collective vision for athlete development, infrastructure enhancement, and the successful hosting of the 39th National Games Meghalaya 2027.
The Association reiterated its commitment to work closely with the Indian Olympic Association, the Government of Meghalaya, and all stakeholders to ensure that Meghalaya emerges as a leading sporting destination in the country.
The President of the MSOA were Shri John F. Kharshiing, Working President, MSOA along with the others members form different sports association were also present to welcome the president Indian Olympic Association.
