Due to the MLA election in Assam, polling date to the GHADC election differ to 12 April 2021

Shillong, March 04: The cabinet today has taken decision that the polling date to the GHADC has differ to 12 April 2021. This decision was taken because the polling date in the Assam Assembly Election in lower Assam will be held on 6 April 2021.

Speaking to media after the Cabinet Chief Minister said that all the date that was announced to the GHADC election remain the same except the polling date and the counting date that was fixed on 14 was shifted to 15 April 2021.

This decision was taken because in the border area with Assam will be difficult to hold poling date on the 9 April 2021 as announced earlier, to avoid inconvenience cabinet has taken this decision to differ the polling date to 12 April 2022 and counting will be done on 15 April 2021.

In the cabinet had also taken the decision to formulate the scheme for assistance for thus people who die and become disable during mob violence, payment will be made two lakh to the next of kin who die and one lakh to thus who injured and become disable due to mob violance.
