Shillong, Nov 22: For the SC Dutta Memorial Lecture, the Education Department of Shillong College organised a program on the 22nd of November 2021 on the topic ‘Accessing Inner Resources in Crisis Moments ‘.
The resource person for this program is FR George Palamattathil, SDB Founder Director of Siloam, Centre for Transformative Leadership. In his lecture, Fr George talked about the need and importance of drawing strength from within ourselves during times of crisis.
He mentioned the covid situation which has really affected us all and how during this situation we realised that there are a lot of things that are superficial which we can do without while what is important is about what is within us.
How many people have coped with such the covid crisis by drawing strength from within themselves for those God given inner resources that have helped them to survive and to come out of the crisis stronger.
Further, the resource person, also stressed on the importance of being hopeful, kind, loving, caring and to do the best that we can in times of crisis inorder to help others. These are the qualities that we should hold onto and that will help us and support us in times of crisis.
