Maligaon, April 28: The N.F. Railway has taken all possible measures to tackle the spread of the deadly Corona Virus within its jurisdiction. NFR has been undertaking special measures on frequent disinfection of railway coaches and premises to check the possibility of spreading of Corona Virus. Sanitizing of all critical areas of mass contact in stations and coaches are being done for the safety of rail users.
The N. F. Railway has set up ‘COVID Help Desk’ at all major stations to provide latest information on Covid protocols. The works of screening of outgoing passengers with thermal devices are being done at all stations. Covid testing of incoming passengers are done by state authorities as per the SOP of respective states and N. F. Railway is providing all necessary help to the state authorities in this regard.
Sanitizing of through pass and originating trains at various stations is also being done to restrict the spread of corona virus. Dedicated team for disinfection work has been deployed to carry out this task in all divisions.
As the running of train services is vital for common people and economy; massive sanitization of the running room, crew lobby etc are being done and Covid protocols are being followed strictly to protect on-duty train running officials from getting infected.
It may be mentioned here that N.F. Railway is doing awareness campaigns regularly through various platforms like print, social and electronic media to alert all passengers about the safety protocols to be observed. Audio-visual campaign and announcements are being done regularly at all railway station premises on 24×7 basis.
