Shillong, March 05: Free text books for Lower Primary and Upper Primary school students under SSA-Right To Education (RTE) were distributed to the coordinators of seven Cluster Resource Centres (CRCs) of Betasing C&RD Block at a function held at Block Resource Centre, Betasing today.
District School Education Officer, South West Garo Hills, Ampati, S. N. Sangma attended the distribution function as the chief guest and exhorted upon the students to strive for excellence in education and urged upon the teachers and block resource persons to work with dedication to raise the standard of education in the district. He later gave away the list of text books, distribution charts to the CRC coordinators and also distributed free textbooks to the students of KGBV, Betasing.
The function was chaired by Block Mission Coordinator, Betasing L. M. Sangma and attended by CRC coordinators, Block resource persons, resource teacher, IE volunteer, Headmistress, teachers and students of KGBV, Betasing, among others.(SP News)
