HITO sent reminder to the Meghalaya CM for age relaxation on police recruitment

Shillong, April 22: The President Mr. Donbok Dkhar and the General Secretary Mr. Wanhun Dkhar of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organsation (HITO) today ha sent the reminder letter to the Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr. Conrad K Sangma for age relaxation on the Police recruitment.

The two leaders on behalf of the organization, they  would like to thank for your efforts towards building a new Meghalaya and your contribution towards the people of the state.

They are writing again as reminder to request you to please reconsider the issue of age relaxation for the recruitment of police personnel in the state. The recruitment process and the online application for the various vacant posts in the police and fire department are ongoing, and we urge you to show clemency on the age limit.

The organization has previously written to you on this issue, and we once again urge you to show leniency towards the various aspirants who have crossed the age limit due to the pandemic and its consequences on society and the daily lives of the people.

Many young adults aspire to serve the state through the police force, and they have to be the breadwinners of families who are struggling for employment due to their age.

With your kind consideration on the matter, it could mean a huge difference to those who seek employment, and the people themselves would be grateful towards you and your government.

As the leader of the current MDA government, we urge you to consider the voices of the people who are struggling for jobs and employment. We also kindly request you to follow up on the previous letter sent by the organization (Ref/HITO/CB/APO11) regarding the issue.
