Shillong, March 24: A Maruti Gypsy (MLO4 – 3225) travelling towards Shillong from Saw Kilo was involved in a head on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident happened while the Maruti Gypsy was in the process of overtaking another vehicle near Thadlaskein Lake at Lad Nongbah under Thadlaskein Block, West Jaintia Hills on the 23rd of March, 2014 at 2:32 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Khliehtyrshi helped in shifting Yuvraj Chetri (36years/male), Prakash Bahadur (33years/male), Bhabitra Bahadur (35years/male) and an unknown man to Jowai Civil Hospital. The injured victims were travelling on the Maruti Gypsy when the incident happened.
Travelling up a slope, the driver of the Maruti Alto applied the brake suddenly and in the process was hit by a motorbike from behind. The motorbike was following the Maruti Alto when the incident happened at Lum Jingsuk locality at Madanriting, Shillong on the 23rd of March, 2014 at 4:34 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance helped in shifting the motorist Skhemborlang Kshiar (21years/male) and the pillion rider Francis Lyngdoh (22years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
A motorist sustained injuries after falling off from the motorbike when it skidded at Soksang under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills on the 23rd March, 2014 at 7:02 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Resubelpara helped in shifting the Mukhing Marak (33years/male) to Resubelpara CHC.(SP News)
