Shillong, December 13: The Meghalaya Bharat Scout and Guides both Boys and Girls for this year 2016 received Rashtrapati Award from the president of India Mr Pranap Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan New Delhi, the award was received by Rithelma Passah working as SDSEO West Jaintia Hills.
On Behalf of the state the award recived by Andrew Lyngdoh from SOS and for the Seven Set School recived by Smti K R Sangma on behalf of the awardees in the National Capital, at the Durbar Rashtrapati Bhavan.
From the Meghalaya Bharat Scout and Guides congratulate Smti Passah who was recognized at the national level for her hard work , she has joint as Girl guide since 1744, it was under her leadership that guides in the state has been equipped with modern technique.
Smti Passah has participate in many event both National and international and at present she is the acting SDSEO of the West Jaintia Hills District.
