Shillong, Octo 04: The office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government of Meghalaya informed all tax payers causing movement of goods in Inter-state or Intra-state trade and commerce of consignment value exceeding Rs. 50,000/- only.
With the exclusion of goods covered under Annexure appended to Rule 138 (14) of the Meghalaya Goods and Service Rules, 2017, that in accordance with provision of Section 68 of the Meghalaya Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017 and rules thereof, such consignments may be subjected to inspection by specially designated mobile squads.
