Shillong, October 03: Base on the on a complaint was received by Pastuer Beat House on 14.9.2016 that of one minor girl who went missing and suspected to be kidnapped by one Anil Haque from Pynthorumkhrah.
The police has immediately a case was taken up and during investigation, SI K.P. Singh and his team immediately proceeded to Barundanga Police station , Tamarhat Dhubri District Assam. On reaching at Barundaga, Assam they conducted a raid at midnight with assistance of Assam Police and were able to rescue the said girl.
On seeing the police party, Mr Anil Haque, the accused ran towards the jungle but the police party managed to apprehend him. On interrogation from the victim, it was learnt that she was compelled to marry Mr Anil Haque of Barundanga, Assam. Further investigation is on.
The raid was the result of the meticulous planning by SI K.P. Singh of Pastuer BH and his staff with assistance of Assam Police.
