Shillong, April 28: The MIYF Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh, sent the memorandum to the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya seeking his intervention as the head of the state administration to initiate an immediate steps to stop the extra overloaded coal and other laden trucks by removing of all official presently posted 13th mile, Tamulkuchi weighbridge in Ri Bhoi District.
The MIYF said that in these three to four months and up to date the extra over loaded coal laden trucks do not fear the law of the land and skip even the weight bridge compound, in these way crores of public revenue losses every day. The Government machinery well aware of these daily open air alleged corruption but keep mum, blind and deaf that makes the members of the Federation suspicious, whether the field officials there along with their sympathizers involve in this matters.
In the last just concluded state Assembly Session, the Congress led state Government tabled a deficit budget for 2017-18 despite the state surplus revenue assets . The failure to prevent the revenue leakage complelled to tabled deficit budget and a burden to the common man .
From the federation as a whole , on moral ground seek the removal of all the officials staff there and replace the new one with deputation of magisterial level officials in every 6 hours and the same on the security arrangement . So that their illegal activities in future could be stop,and as raise by the opposition legislator to install CCTV with full vision light to capture the violators of law .
The Federation hope that the Chief Secretary may initiate steps as soon as possible to prevent losses of public revenue and if the Government Machinery failed to prevent the leakage , the federation as a responsible indigenous people organization have to find its own cause of action said Mr Evester Sylliang General Secretary of the organization.
