Tura, May 09: The Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of West Garo Hills District Mr Labenn Ch Marak resigns from the post he is holding so that he could contest the coming General Election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly due in early 2018.
His resignation letter was sent to the Principal Secretary Personnel & AR (A) & (B) Department Government of Meghalaya on the 3rd May 2017, through the Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District.
The resignation letter stated “In inviting a reference to the subject cited , I have the honour to inform you that I am tendering my resignation from the post of Extra Assistant Commissioner (MCS) presently posted at Tura w.e.f. 3rd August , 2017 or at the earliest possible date, on ground of being an intending candidate to contest the ensuing election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly , 2018”.
The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills Mr Pravin Bakshi told SP News Agency, that Mr Labenn Ch Marak has sent hi s resignation latter.
