N.F. Railway undertakes initiatives to improve easier transportation of various goods customer

Maligaon, June 16: The N. F. Railway has been taking several initiatives to improve the freight transportation and provide better customer interface. Among such initiatives, few more stations have been opened for handling of both inward and outward goods traffic during the month of May, 2023 to facilitate easier transportation of various goods by customer.

To improve customer interface and augment freight revenue, Dalgaon station under Alipurduar division is opened for handling of outward all goods traffic except coal, POL, livestock, explosive and crane consignment w.e.f. 12.05.2023.

Jagiroad station under Lumding division is opened for handling of outward all goods traffic including coal except POL, explosive, livestock and crane consignment w.e.f. 15.05.2023. Moreover, New Harangajao station under Lumding division is re-opened for handling of outward stone chips consignment w.e.f. 22.05.2023.

In addition, Nepal Custom Yard of Nepal under Katihar division is opened for handling of all types of inward and outward goods traffic except coal, POL, livestock and explosive w.e.f. 27.05.2023.

Improvement of customer interface and opening of new terminals leads to increase loading and unloading of freight trains. As a result of which revenue of N.F. Railway will significantly grow in the coming years.
