Shillong, November 05: The North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) stated that both the Naga Elders and the NGOs as well as the Inquiry Committee have submitted their respective reports, but so far there has been no breakthrough in identifying the individuals responsible for the alleged ragging.
The University would like to clarify that the Naga Elders and NGOs did not submit any report whatsoever nor was it expected of them. The Naga Elders and NGOs were only involved in a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and the administration of NEHU to take stock of the investigation and inquiry.
The Naga Elders were not expected to present any report. The report was submitted by the Inquiry Committee of the University. The University state that the inadvertent mistake is regretted.
