Shillong, June 27: The Department of Chemistry, NEHU and SAIF, NEHU, Shillong in collaboration with Amity University is organizing a one week training program on “Applications of Sophisticated Instruments in Chemistry, Biology and Material Sciences” from 28.6.2022 to 4.7.2022.
The programme is being organized under ‘Synergistic Training Program Utilizing Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI)’ program of the R&D infrastructure Division of Department of Science and Technology (DST).
The objective of the programme is to build human resource and its knowledge capacity by providing the participants training on sample preparation and workingknowledge ofstate-of-the-art-equipments like ICP-OES, SEM, TEM, WORKSTATION, HRMS, SC-XRD and TIME RESOLVEDSPECTROFLUOROMETER.
This training programme aims to enhance the practical skills of post graduate students, research scholars, faculty members from Universities/Colleges, scientists, and post-doctoral researchers who are workingin multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary and translational research in various organizations.
The training will consists of lectures by eminent researchers followed byhands on training. Additionally, the attendees will have an opportunity to interact with faculties ofScience discipline of NEHU and Amity University.
