Shillong, November 30: The meeting with North East Petroleum Mazdoor Union and all other stakeholders like Petrol Dealers Association and Oil Companies like IOCL , BPCL , HPCL was conducted successfully yesterday ie 29th November , 2023 in Nongpoh where grievances and welfare measures of Labour Union.
The steps to streamline transport of POL products were discussed. Police action on pilferage was also discussed and it was agreed that while for wrongdoing legal action would follow – no innocent persons will be inconvenienced .
Today the oil tankers have come in a regular manner to our State and strike has been formally called off in the morning itself. The decision not to have the strike was already taken yesterday. The stock position is stable and sufficient and people are advised to refill as per requirement and to be assured of supplies of POL products .
