Shillong, January 12: The accused Shri. Nirdesh Jain @ Appu, 34years, of Lalpur police station , Chatarpur District , Madhya Pradesh wanted in connection with Madanriting police station P.S. C/NO. 77(12)16 U/S 3(A)/4 POCSO ACT was working as a Manager in one Petrol Pump at Khliehriat and to evade arrest he fled from Khliehriat to Guwahati.
And on 11.01.2017 received a source information to the effect that the absconder Shri. Nirdesh Jain was hiding at Kumarpara, Guwahati, Assam. On received of the information a Special Operation Team was dispatched to Guwahati, Assam. On reaching the Police Team laid a trap and later apprehended him from Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, Assam @ 11:30 PM of 11.01.2017. Accordingly, he was forwarded to the Court and 5(five) days Police remand has been prayed for.
On today the 12.01.2017 @ 1:30Pm the Special Cell Police Team apprehended Shri. Elbert Shemphang Kharlukhi, @ Kesop, 31years, of Mawlai Mawdatbaki from IGP Point, Shillong who is wanted in connection with Laitumkhrah police station C/NO. 239(12)2016 U/S 366(A) IPC R/W SEC. 3(a)/4/5(c)/6 POCSO ACT & SEC. 5 I.T(P) ACT. Shri. Elbert Shemphang Kharlukhi (SHNLC) is an aid of the accused Shri. Julius Dorphang and is arrested on the charge of abetment.
