Shillong, July 10: The police of West Garo Hills recovered of narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in a special operation conducted by Anti-Narcotics Task Force, West Garo Hills on Saturday.
In the operation two drug peddlers namely Cherak R. Marak, of Gongadamal, West Garo Hills and Tengsuang S. Sangma, Balsri Ading, Williamnagar, East Garo Hills were arrested today morning at Tura Bazar with approximately 8.19 grams Heroin.
One Maruti Alto Car bearing registration no. ML-08G-6541, Rs. 14,230/- only, two mobile phones and other incriminating materials were also seized. In this regard, a case vide Tura PS Case No. 150(07)2022 u/s 21(b)/25/27/29/30 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation is on.
During interrogation, the arrested persons
revealed that the contraband was sent to them by one Bryan Nongmor, Laitkor Rngi, Sohiong, East Khasi Hills. Accordingly, the information was shared with East Khasi Hills Police.
On getting the information the house of Mr. Bryan was search, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, East Khasi Hills recovered approximately 4.43 grams Heroin, 1 no. mobile phone and other incriminating materials.
