Shillong, March 23: In a major boost for the Bhartya Janata Party ,Meghalaya unit before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, prominent leader of United Democratic Party, Mawryngkneng block David Kharsati along with his supporters officially joined the state unit of the BJP today.
A meeting was also held in the party office today to officially welcome the new entrants into the party where the new members expressed their happiness to become the part of the BJP,Meghalaya unit.
Speaking at the meeting, BJP Meghalaya unit president Khlur Sing Lyngdoh welcomed the new members into the party fold and urged them to work for ensuring party’s victory from Shillong seat in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections
He also said that the party will definitely win more than 272 seats in the Lok Sabha elections under the guidance of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
The former BJP State president HS Syimelieh also asserted that the Modi wave is gripping the entire state and party would surely win the Lok Sabha election from Shillong seat. He further asked the party workers to work for the strengthening of the party in grass root level and connect themselves with the common men.
BJP General Secretary Dipayan Chakraborty also told the gathering that the BJP state unit is fully prepared to contest the election and added that days are not far when BJP ruled Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi will be formed with thumping majority in the National capital.
David Kharsati who began a new political career with the state BJP while addressing the meeting said that there is a rampant corruption in the country and BJP is the only party who acts against this menace.
David Kharsati who is a former Mcounember of the District Council said that the regional parties lacks quality leadership whereas BJP has a strong leader like Narendra Modi who has all the capability to take the country forward
Party functionaries and workers were also present during the meeting and strategies were also chalked out to win the Shillong seat in the forthcoming election.(SP News)
