The AIMA of Meghalaya condemn the incident where two students were attacked

Shillong, June 26: The All India Malayalee Association Meghalaya which is one of the 27 units across the country held an Emergency Meeting of its Executive Committee in view of the fast spreading rumours of a recent incident in which two student interns from the Central University, Kerala were attacked by a group of people at Jaiaw, Shillong.

The Committee expressed concern at the incident and condemned the act, it however expressed hope that the assurances of the Home Minister and the DGP are fulfilled and the law will take its course.

The committee also urged the students in the southern states that it was only an isolated incident and that the committee has taken necessary steps for the safe return of the interns and prevent the spread of the false rumours after the report had gone viral on social media said Aquarius Mathew Secretary in the Press statement.
