Shillong, March 25: The Balika Hindi Vidyalaya Secondary School celebrated its 60th Foundation Day at the school premises. The school was founded by Lt Shri Rameshwar Goenka in 1963.
It was a special day as the school family had the chance to reflect not only the beginnings of Balika Hindi Vidyalaya Secondary school and its founders but also on the school’s significant development since its inception.
The President of the school Shri Prashant Goenka, The Secretary of the school Dr. K.K Jhunjhunwala, Members of Lions Club, Headmaster of RB Anup Chand Sec School.
Headman of Keating road, Members of Electrical Association were some of the dignitaries and well-wishers who attended the program by taking out time from their busy schedule.
They honour thiere founding fathers as we reflect on their commitment, dedication and resilience in their vision to provide access to not only quality education but also all round development of the children.
The Ex students of the school were invited and felicitated making the occasion a scene of joy and happiness for everyone present. It is astonishing that 60 years ago the leaders had blind faith in their goals.
