Shillong, June 15: The ANTF on 22/02/2013, two persons namely Mr. Sangte Paite and Mr. Lalmingliana, in a two wheeler, were apprehended by police while conducting naka checking at IIM Junction, Nongthymmai.
During search, 2178.72 gms of psychotropic drugs namely Spasmo proxyvon were found and seized. A case vide Rynjah PS C/No. 13(2)2013 U/S 22 NDPS Act was registered and the case was investigated by then Sub-Inspector Simseng A. Sangma who was the In-charge of the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills.
The arrested accused were forwarded to the court of the Special Judge, NDPS. The case was charge sheeted vide CS No. 11/13 dated 30/04/2013.
On 15.06.2022, the court of the Hon’ble Special Judge (NDPS Act), Shri N.A. Khan found the accused Sangte Paite and Lalmingliana guilty and were convicted for the offence U/S 22(C) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
