Shillong, June 19: On the evection notice issued by the Government of Bangladesh to the residence of Neharpunji is not only to the khasi community but also the Garo community.
Intelligence report said that there are two Garo family who were staying in the Neharpunji and more than twenty khasi family, all these people are mainly cultivator who have been living in this place for many years.
Though the notice that had been served to thus family that reside in the old Neharpunji end on the 12 of this month but till date the government has not evict them from the area since many orgnisation has intervened on the issued.
