Shillong, Oct 27: The FKJGP Garo Hills Zone hereby request all the youths residing in and around Shillong to take part in the Public Rally that will be held on the 28th of October 2022 at 11 am from Motphran to Fire Brigade Ground Laitumkhrah which will be followed by a public meeting at 2pm in an effort to raise concerns over the exponential increasing rate of unemployment among youths in the state of Meghalaya.
It has been noted by the FKJGP Garo Hills Zone that no positive steps has been initiated by the Govt. to increase employment for the youths of the state which is negatively affecting the productivity of our youths, consequently driving many of them towards unethical ways and means for earning a living.
It is a pity that the youths who are the future of any society are not being provided sufficient opportunities to hone their talents and earn their rightful place in the society. Thus, it should be the imperative of all youths to demand what is being denied to them, and demand for what rightfully belong to them in a democratic manner.
The rally cum public meeting being organized by the FKJGP CEC is a testament that the youths will not hold back anymore if any Government/Governments fail to provide what they rightfully deserve.
The FKJGP Garo Hills Zone would also like to inform that similar demonstrations will be held in different parts of Garo Hills in later dates unless and until the Government gives our youths better employment opportunities, which we feel is long overdue said Mr. Pritam Arengh President FKJGP Garo Hills Zone.
