The Garo militant,GNLA warned for misusing their name

Tura, Feb 28: The Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) today warned
individuals and organisations not to misue thier name for extortion or
threatening.
Reacting to the media reports that GNLA demanded money from a lady
from Tura Municipal Office the Commander in Chief of GNLA, Sohan
D.Shira said that their organisation is trying to find out those who
are misusing GNLA’s name for extortion and threatening people in Garo
hills.
“We have not demanded any money from one lady in Tura Municipal board
office. We will not spare anybody who misuse our name for their
personal interest”, said Shira.
A statement issued by the outfit stated that all area commanders has
been asked to find out, who is misusing thier name for their vested
interest.
“We have been getting lots of information about some people misusing
our organisation’s name and we will not spare them”, said Shira.
It also stated that GNLA is committed in achieving its goal and those
who do not follow the rules and regulations of the organisation will
have to pay the price and get punishment as per the guidelines of the
constitution.
“We reiterate our commitment to eliminate those  who are misusing
GNLA’s name”, said Shira.(SP News)
