Shillong, December 7, 2016: Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan on Wednesday interacted with school children at a programme organized by the Inner Wheel Club of Shillong at Raj Bhawan in the city. The function was attended among others by Geeta Sarin, President, Inner Wheel Club of Shillong, renowned Sattriya Dancer, Dr. Anwesa Mahanta, teachers and students.
During his brief address to the young students gathered at Raj Bhawan Durbar Hall, the Governor called upon them to adopt the spirit of courage, fearlessness, and adventurism while also encouraging them to aim towards achieving greatness and invincibility in their respective lives.
The Governor, on the occasion also emphasized that students should adopt focus and attention stating further that they must learn to discipline their minds in order to succeed in life.
Earlier, a classical dance performance by Dr.Anwesa Mahanta enthralled the students, teachers and all in attendance at the programme.
