Jowai, March 21: the Jaiñtia Youth Federation-East Jaiñtia Hills has written a letter to the transport minister Mr HDR Lyngdoh aking him to appoint Enforcement officer in the office of the District Transport Officer in East Jiantia Hills District.
The JYF said that the government of Meghalaya has been kind enough to
created the new District of East Jaiñtia Hills District, Meghalaya for
the Welfare and improvement of the Administration of the State for the
people of East Jaiñtia Hills District as a whole.
The organization from the district fill, that mere creation of the District could not serve any purpose unless the infrastructure of the District is created and fulfilled by
the government.
The District at present required at least one enforcement officer in the DTO office due to increasing number of the Vehicles plying in the District and for the convenience of the general public of the District in the matter related to transport. The letter was sign by the president of the organization Mr Niwasly Rymbai and John Pala the general secretary.(SP News)
