Shillong, December 22: The Khasi Student Union (KSU) Nongthymmai Circle today met Mr PS Dkhar Deputy Commissioner of the East Khasi Hills District to urged him to put on hold on Aadhaar enrolment in the District.
The KSU said that the enroment on Aadhaar in the Nongthymmai, Happy valley, Madanryting and in the premises of the para-military forces until the effective mechanism to deal with influx is arrived at.
The KSU point out that as per the agreement between the Union and the state government the enrolment of Aadhaar should be stop.
Speaking to media person after the meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Mr E. Nongkynrieh General secretary of the KSU , Nongthymmai Circle said that the DC has assure them that he will look into.
