Shillong, Jan 15: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress staged a demonstration on 14th January, 2019 at Laban, Shillong in protest against the passing of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in Lok Sabha recently. The protest was led by MPYC GS Fernandez Dkhar support by the 18-South Shillong Assembly Youth Congress.
He said, we can’t provide Health Care, Education, Food, Houses and jobs to our very own people, now if CAB will be passed by Rajya Sabha it will increase the burden to the Meghalaya, North East and the whole county.
He also recollect, how Narendra Modi promise during 2014 General Election speech, that if he and the BJP voted to power he will send all the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants Back by 16 May 2014. Also he condemn the intention of Work Permit to Bangladeshi by Chief Minister of Meghalaya Shri. Conrad K Sangma.
He added that PM Modi by this ‘CAB’ he try to allow illegal migrants from Bangladesh to enter through the “Main Door” and CM Conrad through ‘Work Permit’ he is trying to allow them to enter from “Windows”.
Dkhar also appreciates the three Ministers of AGP who resigned from their ministerial posts, putting the Indigenous peoples in front rather than self benefits.
He also requested the Regional Parties of Meghalaya to think for the Indigenous peoples and walk away from the NDA partners, for this disastrous and evil intend of the CAB is the biggest Betrayal to the North East people.
