Shillong, March 22: The Nation is celebrating “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” to mark the on the historic victory of Indian Armed Forces in 1971 War. As part of the celebrations, 101 Area, will be organising a Weapons & Equipment display cum awareness programme on ‘Know Your Armed Forces’ over a period of three days from 25 to 27 March 2021 at Polo Grounds, Shillong.
During the event, Indian Army, Air Force and Assam Rifles will be displaying various weapons and equipment being used by Indian Armed Forces for the students, NCC cadets and local populace of the area. In addition, a ‘Career Guidance Programme’ on how to join Indian Armed Forces for students and NCC cadets will also be organised by a dedicated team of experts during the event.
The event will be open for students and NCC cadets on 25 March 2021 and for all public from 26 to 27 March 2021 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
