Shillong, June 1:The Superintendent of Police (F&ES), Shillong has informed that due to the increase in crime of cable theft in the city, both landline and broadband were disconnected as informed by the BSNL authority and the same will not be working for the time being.
Moreover, it was stated that the existing landline numbers will be retained back when converted to FTTH (Fiber to the Home).Therefore, during emergencies, the general public can reach out in the new emergency numbers; 1). Emergency Number (NERS): 112 and 2). Tablet Number: 7640003646.
