Shillong, July 04: The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, Non-Gazetted Employee Association Tura (NGEA) of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council was demanding for removal of the Secretary of GHADC Smti. Rikse R. Marak and after series of agitation and prolong demand made by the employee of GHADC.
The new Executive Committee let by the Chief Executive Member Shri. Benedict R. Marak has considered the plea of the NGEA and released Smti. Rikse R. Marak from the post of secretary of GHADC. Smti. Rikse R. Marak was release from the post of GHADC secretary in the month of May 2021.
The the NGEA said that the secretary was using the GHADC Official Vehicle Scorpio Bearing Registration No.ML.08-G-3051, but after her release from the post the said Vehicle is lying in the Police Station since from the month of may till date.
The leader of the NGEA has sought the clarification from the Police Station whether there is any case against the said vehicles and the concerned Police station informed that there is no case against the said vehicles.
The NGEA asked, if there is no case against the said Scorpio what is the reason behind in keeping the said Vehicle of GHADC in Tura Police Station. The Executive Member of NGEA also informed the matter to the joint secretary of GHADC who is also an in charge of Transport.
The reply creviced from the joint secretary incharge transport that he has no knowledge about it, neither he received the resignation letter or handing over from the secretary Smti. Rikse R. Marak .
In this respect the NGEA beg to seek the response and clarification from new Executive Committee of GHADC under whose custody and care the said Scorpio is being kept in the Tura Police Station, and whether the said Vehicles is still belongs to the GHADC.
The GHADC is public institution, it is the institution of tribal community which protect and preserve the custom and identity of tribal therefore each and every property of GHADC is the property of Tribal and public as such each and every property of GHADC should be taken care of by the authority of GHADC, said Mr Flaming B marak Joint secretary of the NGEA in the press statement.
