Shillong, Feb 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a huge public meeting organized at Jhalupara Taxi Stand Ground, Shillong, Meghalaya on Tuesday today and urged the public to build a corruption-free Meghalaya under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He appealed to the people to form a double engine government in Meghalaya. Meghalaya BJP President and candidate from 18, West Shillong, Mr. Ernest Mawrie, party’s national secretary and BJP co-incharge of Meghalaya, Mr. Rituraj Sinha, 19, South Shillong candidate, Mr. Sanbor Shullai and BJP candidate from 14, Pynthorumkhrah, Mr. A.L. Hek were also present.
Mr. Nadda said that it is clearly visible from the enthusiasm of the people and the support being received by the BJP in Meghalaya that the people have decided to give a clear majority to the BJP. The people are determined to form the BJP government in Meghalaya.
National President said that ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to power at the Center under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and ever since he has focused on the development of the North East, the competition for development has started here.
It is our endeavor that all the states move ahead on the path of development at a fast pace. However, Meghalaya is finding it difficult to grow as fast due to corruption and some other reasons.
They have decided that we will make Meghalaya corruption free in the next five years and take the state forward. If Meghalaya has to be made a corruption-free state, then you will have to make all the BJP candidates victorious and send them to the assembly.
Shri Nadda said that today India has been established as an economic superpower in the world under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Today we are seeing what is the condition of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and many other countries of the world. It means that wrong policy has wrong results and right policy has right results.
