Shillong, April 19: The Shillong Press Club today hold silence procession in the state capital shillong in protest against the petrol bomb lob at the residence of the Editor of the Shillong Time Smti Praticia Mukhin by miscreants on Tuesday night.
The procession started from the premises of the Shillong Press Club from Lawwer Lachumier to IG Point to the Deputy Commissioner office of East Khasi Hills District , to Raj Bhavan and back to the Shillong Press Club via Lower Lachumier.
The President of the Shillong Press club Mr David Laitflang in his address to the media fraternity at the end of the procession said that, all the media in the state stand united in condemning the incident and we hope that the culprit will soon be nap by the police.
Smti Praticia Mukhim the Editor of the Shillong Times said that if any one has any grievances they can always redress their problems by sending with the rejoinder or call for the briefing to clarified.
To scare someone by throwing petrol bomb is not the answer; she said that as journalist we just write the truth and will continued to report the truth without fears. In this silence procession hundreds of journalist has participate to condemn the incident.
