Shillong, Sept 28: The leader of the opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma said that it is binding to the state government that the State security Commission should convince every three month, in the meeting today he also urged the government to call for this meeting every three months as mandated by law.
The leader of the opposition said that this the forum where very important, if you look at the principal act, is particularly to section 44 revolving around, the Meghalaya State Security Commission is that the police organsation is crucial, not only maintaining law and order and to instill scene of security but also part and parcel of justice administration.
Whenever instances of crime and investigation and also to facilitated the overall administration of justice, the overall justice administration revolt around the efficiency of this organsation and the fact the organsation has tobe free form any influence including posting of officers including top official till additional superintendent of police.
The committee has also two independent members is yet to be appointed today meeting has decided to complete the process of appointing this two independent members at the earliest so that the commission will have the full strength, others internal matter which revolt around militancy inter security was also discuss but this will remain with the four wall of the commission.
The Commission is vested with sensitivity and challenges of the police in dealing with the militancy, interstate problems, Regrouping of the militants as far as policing is concern that is why since it was dealing with the sensitivity that why connate share with the media.
