Many students cannot secure admission in Government schools such as in Kiang Nangbah Government College, Government Boys Higher Secondary school and Government Girls Higher Secondary School.

The union have specially met with the School Principals to know the ground reality of the situation in which clearly indicates that all seats are filled to their maximum capacity and the school infrastructure cannot accommodate any more students.

The JSU have expressed to the Joint Director and the District School Education Officer that about 1700 nos. Of students cannot be enrolled to the different streams of class XI and demanded the authority to come up with a quick solution so as to accomodate the all remaining students.

The JSU said that these students are now in a dilemma and face hardships to seek admission in private institutions and are only having their last hope on government instutions to continue with their higher studies.

The JSU has suggested to come up with a solution by also including extra shifts for morning or evening shifts in Class XI and Class XII for especially in Arts Stream because these school buildings are underutilized which is only used during day time.

This step will benefit a huge number of students and open up opportunities for those who are currently undetermined with their future. The JSU urge all the students to not lose hope and it will continue to communicate again with the Government authorities to find ways and means to get the students enrolled.
