Shillong, December 05: There are Six Officers and Nine personnels of Meghalaya Civil Defence and Home Guards Organization were awarded Commendation Disc and Certificate from the Director General Civil Defence, Ministry of Home Office, New Delhi on the eve of the 61st Raising Day of Civil Defence and Home Guards.
Mr. M K Sangma, Joint Director of Civil Defence, Meghalaya, Shri RP Khongwar, Joint Commandant General of Home Guards, Meghalaya, Shri B Mukhim, Senior Staff Officer, Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Meghalaya and Smt B Kharkongor, Commandant, Central Training Institute, CD & HG were awarded the DGCD, MHA, New Delhi, Gold Disc.
Mr. Paul Shylla, Divisional Commandant of Home Guards, Shillong and Shri G Kharumnuid, Junior Staff Officer, Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya were awarded the DGCD, MHA, New Delhi, Silver Disc.
Nine other personnel including ministerial and uniformed personnel were awarded the DGCD, MHA, New Delhi, Bronze Disc. Altogether 225 Commendation Disc & Certificate were awarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the eve of the 61st Raising Day of Civil Defence and Home Guards.
