To bridge the gap between the forces and the public, CAP was held in Mindikgre

Shillong, December 10: To bridge the gap between the forces and the public Civic Action Programme (CAP)was held for three days in the severely infested area by militant in Mindigre the stronghold of the ASAK militant from where the C-In-C hailed.

The CAP was organized in collaboration with the civil society of the area with the objective to bridge the  gap between the forces and the public and to send a positive message to local people and as a confidence building measure, the SP SGH, Anand Mishra himself designed the details and also participated on the final day which completed today.

In this CAP many Teams participated from various parts of Garo Hills.This is towards a serious attempt to wean away the local young boys who are being used and exploited by ASAK C-in-C  Mr Reading T Sangma to aid and assist him in his illegal activities.

Recently a Police camp has also been set up at Mindikgre and has severely affected movement and access of militants in the area.This Civic Action Programme will greatly buttress the Police-Public relation and weaken support base of militants in this and nearby areas.
