Shillong, June 10: The two years old girl who was kidnap from the Silchar University Campus on the 4th of June was rescued today from Khliehrait by the police of East Jiantia Hills District confirm the Superintendent of police Mr Spill Thmar.
The Superintendent of Police told SP News Agency that the girl was rescued today from Khliehriat at around 4.PM in the afternoon, the police has inform it counterpart in Assam about the rescued about the detail information.
Others sources said that a Barbar saw that the girl was crying in abnormal way, seeing this he inform people around and people started watching at the girl, then they inform the police and the police rushed without delay and the kidnaper abandon the girl.
Sources said that the parents of this girl are teaching in Silchar University, it was told that the kidnaper took the girl from the campus and it is suspected the girl was kidnapped for ransom.
