Shillong, August 29: The U.S. Consulate Kolkata in collaboration with Indo-American Center, Washington D.C. and Education USA and USIEF will host U.S. Universities Alumni: India Connect Program, which is U.S. Higher Education Information Fair for a day in Shillong to increase awareness on opportunities for Indian students in U.S. universities and brief them about the benefits of studying in the U.S.
Indo-American Center is a non-profit U.S.-based NGO working with the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata to inform Indian students on the U.S. education system, opportunities and admission process.
They focus on holding alumni fairs where the students can get expert advice from U.S. Alumni, University counselors, representatives from EducationUSA and the U.S. State Department officials. Similar daylong conference took place in Jamshedpur and Ranchi, and will be held in Guwahati on September 1.
