Villages who achieved 100% vaccination of 18 years above will get additional fund from MBDA

Shillong, August 12:  The vaccination diva against COVID-19 has been given prime emphasis alongside others initiatives that have been taken by the Government to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the State. The Government has acknowledged the contribution of the communities in the fight against COVID-19.

To encourage such positive work in the interest of public health the Governor of Meghalaya issued order that in convergence with the MGNREGA, the first 100 villages in the State that achieve 100% vaccination of eligible population 18 years and above.

Thus villages who have achieved by 31st August 2021 will be sanction Rs.5,00,000/- each by the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) for caring out any development work as may be chosen by the concern village.

The villages that have already achieved the target and approved by the Heath and  Family Welfare Department will be felicitated during the Independence Day calibration 2021 in the respective Dstricts and Sub-Division the order was sign by Chief Secretary Government of Meghalaya Mr. M S Rao.
