Shillong, Iaiong 23: Major General P K Saini has taken over as Chief of Staff, HQ 101 Area on 18 Apr 2018. He was commissioned into Mechanized Infantry Regiment in 1985. During his almost 33 yrs of a bright and illustrious career, he has held imp Regtl, Staff and Instructional appts at Siachen,Line of Control, Rashtriya Rifles, United Nations (Lebanon), Army HQ, Delhi and has also commanded a Mechanized Infantry Unit and an Armoured Brigade.
Maj Gen P K Saini also holds the distinction of having excelled in all courses. Amongst his decorations are the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western and Northern Comd and COAS Commendation Card.
