Tura, August 29: The non gazetted employee of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council today hold a protests sit in demonstration at the premises of the GHADC to put pressure on the executive committee of the council to pay their salary that is pending for one year.
The employs of the GHADC in this sit in demonstration carrying with them placard demanding Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate on the financial irregularities in the council. The non gazette employees will intensify the agitation to demand their right as employee for their salary.
The employees were not paid by the employer, the GHADC for one year. The employee claim that the council is collecting taxes on a daily bases but they were amazed that the council could not pay the salary of the staff in the last twelve month.
