Shillong, May 20: Five month goes by where the Government of Meghalaya is yet to M/S Renew Joule Private Limited for the execution of three power plants with Renewable Technology Closed Loop Vertical Turbine Project of 120 MW in the state of Meghalaya.
The Director of Renew Joule Company Private Limited Mr Manjoj Sompura told SP News Agency over phone that the company is yet to get the land from the Government of Meghalaya to start the work on the three power project as sign in the MoA with the state Government of Meghalaya in 20th December 2017.
The Memorandum of Agreement was sign between the Government of Meghalaya and the Renew Joule Company Private Ltd from Mumbai on the 20th December 2017 by the then Congress Government on the pattern of Build Own Operate (BOO). The Company is taking up the issued with Industries department to hand over the land to the company so that they could start the power project in Meghalaya.
From the Government of Meghalaya of the Power Department the Agreement was sign by Smti Rikse R Marak Joint Secretary to the government of Meghalaya and from the M/S Renew Joule Private Limited wa sign by the Director Mr Manjoj Sompura Director of the company from Mumbai. The MOA was sign in the presence of the former Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma in the Conference Hall Yojana Bhavan.
To recall as pet the MoA sign between the Government of Meghalaya and the Renew Joule Company Private Limited, the three power project will generate 120 MW, one will be in Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi District, one in North Garo Hills District at Mendipathar and the other one is in South West Garo Hills District in Ampati.
This project will be second in the world, and will be the first in Asia. They will start there project in the month of January 2018 and they will complete the project and commission on the month of April 2018. The project cost for one Megawatt will be around Rs. 8.00 Cores.
