Maligaon, Dec 11: Northeast Frontier Railway has been constantly progressing in freight loading and has loaded 1.034 million tonnes (MT) during the month of November, 2022.
This is an increase of 28.9% in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year. N. F. Railway has loaded 7.856 MT from April to November of this financial year. This is an increase of 20.9% as compared to corresponding period of the previous year.
During the month of November, 2022, coal loading increased by 687.5% and loading of few other commodities also increased by a good margin in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year.During the month, fertilizers loading increased by 37.5%, cement loading increased by 69.6% and loading of other commodities increased by 27.7%.
During the current financial year from April to November, coal loading increased by 998.1%, dolomite loading increased by 9.7% in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year. Fertilizer loading increased by 15.9%, POL loading increased by 12%, container loading increased by 16.7% and other commodities increased by 28.8%.
The N. F. Railway is exploring all possible ways to boost the freight loading performance. Improved terminal handling facility and improvement in mobility due to enhanced maintenance efforts and continuous monitoring at all level resulted in increased loading.
