Shillong, Febuary 02: A total of 16 candidates filed their nominations on Friday to contest the ensuing Assembly election in the state.
Amongst the prominent candidates who filed their nomination papers
today include ar Donkupar Sumer (UDP) from Umsning constituency,
sitting MLA Kennedy Cornelius khyriem (INC) from Mawphlang, sitting
MLA from Nongstoin, Diosstarness Jyndiang (HSPDP), sitting MLA from
Rambrai Jyrngam, K Phlastingwell Pangniang (HSPDP), sitting MLA from
Rongara Siju, Rophul S. Marak, who will be contesting as an
independent candidate, independent MLA from Baghmara, Samuel M.
Sangma.
The others candidates are Amti Evalyni Kharbani (IND) and Zachary Shadap (Khnam)from Mawhati constituency, Welborn Bynnud(IND) from Shella, Pios Kurbah (INC) from Mawthadraishan, John Dandaly Sangma (NCP) from Ranikor, Dr. Bestondar C Lyngdoh (IND) from Mawkyrwat, Starline Momin(IND) from Resubelpara, Pillarson G. Momin (UDP) from Raksamgre,Santush Sangma (UDP) from Tikrikilla and Diliram G. Marak (IND) from Selsella.
