Any press engaged in printing campaign related materials should comply with RP Act, 1951

Tura, March 18: The undersigned hereby directs all the printing presses operating within the territorial jurisdiction of West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya that in view of the

Model Code of Conduct(MCC) being in force for the ensuing General Election Lok Sabha 2024 and to the 2-Tura Parliamentary seat and in compliance to the provisions of Sec-127 and Sec-127A of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951,any pres engaged involved in printing of campaign related.

This are like Posters, banners or such other materials for and on behalf of any contesting candidates of political party shall strictly adhere and abide by the following terms, Shall indicate in print line for all election related posters and pamphlets etc the names and addresses of printer and publisher printed by any printing press in the district.

Shall send the copies of the printed material (along with three extra copies of each printed material and the declaration obtained from the publisher as required under above section of thẻ said Act.

In default or any violation of this order by any printing press shall be liable to serious action under appropriate Act against such printing press which may include the revocation of the license issued under the appropriate Law of the State.
