President of India appointed Mr. C H Vijayashankar as Governor of Meghalaya

Shillong, July 28: The President of India Smti Droupadi Murmu has appointed Mr. C H Vijayashankar as the Governor of Meghalaya; the above appointments will take effect from the dates they will assume charge of their respective offices.

The Current Governor Mr. Phagu Chauhan who has been in office since 18/February/2023, before he was appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya he was the Governor of Bihar.

Apart from Mr. C H Vijayashankar, the President of India also appointed another eight Governors in eight states and one Union territory , Mr Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde appointed as Governor of Rajasthan.

Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma appointed as Governor of Telangana. Mr.Om Prakash Mathur appointed as Governor of Sikkim. Santosh Kumar Gangwar appointed as Governor of Jharkhand. Mr. Ramen Deka appointed as Governor of Chhattisgarh.

Mr. C.P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Jharkhand with Additional Charge of Telangana, appointed as Governor of Maharashtra. Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, appointed as Governor of Punjab and has also been appointed as Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

Mr. Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Governor of Sikkim, appointed as Governor of Assam and has also been given additional charge of the Governor of Manipur. The above appointments will take effect from the dates they will assume charge of their respective offices.
